Stairway 2 - Summer Palace, Beijing, China

Detail of the ceiling over one of the stairways ascending Longevity Hill at the Summer Palace in Beijing, China.  This photo is looking the opposite direction from the photo Stairway 1.  The beams, posts, and other components of the ceilings and roofs are decorated with thousands upon thousands of the beautiful hand-painted scenes, no two of which are alike.  Taken in May 2011.  Slight color-correction to compensate for the ever-present air pollution.  Nikon P80 camera.
